PRESENTATION | RECORDING

In this ESMAP webinar on the "From Sun to Roof to Grid" report series, participants explored how utilities, regulators and other sector agencies can plan successfully the development of the distributed photovoltaics (DPV) sector.

Participants heard directly from the World Bank team behind the three reports series as they presented key findings, followed by a panel discussion featuring private, public, and independent stakeholders sharing their perspectives.

Participants learned the steps for designing energy policy packages that included distributed PV, ensuring a balance across stakeholder interests. Furthermore, particpants discovered how PV systems can positively impact low and middle-income countries by reducing electricity bills, improving service quality, and enhancing energy security, among other benefits.

Distributed photovoltaics (DPV) is the world’s fastest growing local energy technology, offering distinct benefits and challenges especially when connected to grids in low- and middle-income countries.
