The World Bank's Energy Sector Management Assistance Program (ESMAP), through its Foundations for Decarbonized Energy Systems Program held the Smart Energy Infrastructure Study Tour in October 30 to November 6, 2024, in South Korea.

The Study Tour included a combination of interactive lecture style sessions by industry practitioners and experts in Korea, site visits to smart grid infrastructure, and demonstration sites of new technologies.  This combination of sessions and site visits took place on October 30 ending November 1.

The topics covered included Korea’s experience with smart grid deployment, grid modernization and RE integration, change management and skilling, etc. The second part of the study tour was coordinated alongside the Korea Green Innovation Days (KGID), organized by KGGTF, from November 4-6 on Jeju Island.
