ESMAP Becomes a CLEAN Partner

source: clean webESMAP  has joined  a network  of  national and international organizations that assist developing countries establish low emissions plans and programs.  The Coordinated Low Emissions Assistance Network (CLEAN) fosters collaboration on methods, training, and technical assistance to support low emission planning and implementation processes. It also aims to facilitate coordination of activities with specific developing country partners and sharing of experiences, best practices, and lessons.

 

Specifically, ESMAP will work with CLEAN on activities supporting:


1. The Development of a User Guide on Low Emission Development Strategy (LEDS) Tools and Methods for developing country analysts and officials
2. Harmonized Training on LEDS 

 

In October 2010, ESMAP delivered presentations at a CLEAN webinar and a seminar hosted by USAID and US Department of State on ‘Enhancing Capacity for Low Emission Development Strategies’ to support collaboration and share ESMAP’s experience from its low carbon country study program and emerging tools and methodologies.
